Plantar Fasciitis or Heel Pain
Plantar Fasciitis or Heel Pain is a very common condition that is seen regularly. This condition can come on quickly or more gradually, never the less plantar fasciitis or heel pain can impact on everyday activities and be very painful. Plantar fasciitis or heel pain can be due to a number of things, like flat feet, dropped arches, bad footwear options or a sudden increase of sporting activities causing tightness in the muscles in the back of the legs causing stretching in the plantar fascia which is the ligament that helps support the arch of the foot.
Most people complain of pain in the heel when they first get out of bed in the morning, or after long periods of rest. The pain usually settles after hobbling and moving about for a bit, but can get worse by the end of the day.
